Welcome!   I am a fine art painter and musician specializing in Scottish subject matter.  My paintings and music are personal creative expressions inspired by the essence, if you will, of Scotland.  Created in response to the overwhelmingly strong influences of my own Scottish ties, they are my way of honoring not only my own, but a large world population sector's visceral connection to the culture, landscape and history of Scotland.  This website is a means of sharing what I find endlessly fascinating in this magnetic spot of rock on the globe that repeatedly draws me back to it's shores. 

     Of my art, you will find here original paintings, limited editions, open editions and fine art cards to enjoy online, and for purchase and sharing.  ALL work, from conception through execution to packing the work for shipping, is done by me, and I am proud to stand behind every aspect of my work.    "PaintScots" is my blog about my painting and musical life, Scottish subjects and Celtic music.   "Bletherings....." is my email newsletter.....not too regular, as I prefer to be painting or playing fiddle, but full of pithy and possibly noteworthy commentary!
